Radical Poetry Reading with Gabriel Dozal

Poet Gabriel Dozal is from El Paso, TX. He received his MFA in poetry from The University of Arizona. His work appears in Guernica, The Iowa Review, The Brooklyn Rail, The Literary Review, Hunger Mountain, The Volta, Contra Viento, a Dozen Nothing, and Dreginald.

Author of Brother Sleep (Alice James Books, 2022) Aldo Amparán was the winner of the 2020 Alice James Award. They are the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts & CantoMundo. Their work has been widely published in magazines & anthologies, including the Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day, Best New Poets, Kenyon Review Online, New England Review, Ploughshares, Poetry Northwest, and elsewhere. They hold an MFA in Creative Writing from The University of Texas at El Paso, where they teach as an adjunct professor.

Anselm Berrigan is the poetry editor for the Brooklyn Rail, and author of a number of books of poems, most recently Pregrets, from Black Square Editions.

Living and writing poems in Tucson, Arizona, Gabriel Palacios recently received an MFA in creative writing at the University of Arizona. Recent work can be found in West Branch, The Volta, Typo Magazine, Territory, Spoon River Poetry Review, and Bayou Magazine.

Writer Leigh Stein is interested in what the internet is doing to our identities, relationships, and politics. She is the author of five books, including the critically acclaimed satirical novel Self Care (Penguin, 2020) and the poetry collection What to Miss When (Soft Skull Press, 2021). Her non-fiction writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the New Yorker online, Allure, ELLE, Poets & Writers, BuzzFeed, The Cut, Salon, and Slate.
