Founding Director/Chief Curator of the Performa Biennial RoseLee Goldberg and writer and musician Paul D. Miller discuss creative life in the context of our new social reality.

RoseLee Goldberg (she/her) is an art historian, curator, and the Founding Director and Chief Curator of Performa. She has created performance programs for the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum, is a frequent contributor to Artforum, and is the author of Performance Now: Live Art for the 21st Century (Thames & Hudson 2018) and Performance Art: From Futurism to the Present (Thames & Hudson 1979, 2011) which is in its fourth edition and has been translated into 10 languages. Goldberg is also a Distinguished Artist in Residence at NYU.

Paul D. Miller, aka DJ Spooky, (he/him) is a composer, multimedia artist, and writer whose work immerses audiences in a blend of genres, global culture, and environmental and social issues. Miller has collaborated with an array of recording artists, including Metallica, Chuck D, Steve Reich, and Yoko Ono. His 2018 album, DJ Spooky Presents: Phantom Dancehall, debuted at #3 on Billboard Reggae.
