Artist Julian Schnabel and the Brooklyn Rail’s publisher Phong Bui discuss creative life in the context of our new social reality.
Julian Schnabel is an artist and filmmaker based in New York, his most recent solo show of paintings, The Patch of Blue the Prisoner Calls the Sky, opened at Pace Gallery in March. His films include At Eternity’s Gate (2018) and Miral (2010), among others.
Phong Bui is Publisher and Artistic Director of the Brooklyn Rail.
